Every year in Japan, on March 3rd, is Hina Matsuri, or « Girls’ Day ».
People celebrate by showcasing dolls, that usually represent emperors and empresses. From as early as kindergarten, children make their own dolls to celebrate.
There are also Kakimari-kun Hina Matsuri prints that have started popping up here and there in town. Feel free to celebrate with us by making your own! Here’s the pattern:
